Borrow a SPOT Messenger
Borrow a SPOT Messenger... free of charge
Visit a partner location per below to complete a trip plan and borrow a SPOT messenger to use during your trip. A SPOT is a pocket-sized satellite communication device that can be activated in an emergency situation to request a rescue response. SPOT communicates through satellites, so you'll have coverage even without cell service. By activating the device's SOS function during an emergency, KVRS will be notified with your present location and we will initiate a response based on review of your trip plan.
The SPOT loaner program is a service provided free of charge. However, the program carries significant costs, and your donations are appreciated to keep it running.
